Bike Recovery: 15/07/2025
Success Report

During routine route monitoring, a controller identified a motorbike veering off into dense bushland near an informal settlement.
Attempts to contact the driver were unsuccessful, and as the bike continued deeper into the bush, the controller made the decision to dispatch a response team immediately.
Shortly thereafter, the controller received a signal disconnection from the bike — raising further concern. The ground team, already en route, was alerted to escalate their response.
While ongoing efforts to reach the driver continued, Skeye Tech received confirmation from the fleet owner that the driver had been hijacked but was safe and currently at his mechanic’s workshop.
With this confirmed, the recovery team was updated, and a rapid response was initiated.
Upon arrival near the last tracked location, the team proceeded on foot through thick bushland.
After some distance, two suspicious individuals were seen fleeing from a fallen tree. One of our responders quickly moved toward the spot they had abandoned.
There, the stolen bike was recovered — badly stripped.
The suspects then attempted to confront the responder, but as General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi once said:
"To forgive criminals is up to God, to send them to Him is up to me."
Thanks to the sharp instincts of our controller and the swift actions of the ground team, another successful recovery was made.
